This is a reinstallment of the recent debate I had with Torvald only this time the definitions rule will not be applied because of it's failure in the last debate.

Definitions:

public school- a free tax-supported school controlled by a local governmental authority.

should- used in auxiliary function to express obligation, propriety, or expediency.

teach- to cause to know something.

about- with regard to.

creationism- the religious belief that humanity, life, the Earth, and the universe are the creation of a supernatural being, most often referring to the Abrahamic God.

Then I shall not be accepting this one, as I happen to agree, that there is no harm in teaching it as part of a mythology course.

Is it also understood that your case is not that Creationism should be taught as truth in public schools, but that it is taught from a historical or philosophical perspective (like Nazism)?

Public schools DO teach about creationism, just not in the science class. How would a person know if a teacher would unbiasedly teach such a subject. For example, an atheistic teacher would not want his students to learn about creationism, as according to Eugenie Scott, it might confuse them as to the merits of evolution.
