Con

To disprove the resolution I must simply show that stereotypes can be false.

[1] Hockey is a physical sport. Less than 3% of black people are in the NHL [http://wiki.answers.com...]

[2] Nearly 10% of white people living in the US live in poverty. [http://en.wikipedia.org...]

[3] Pro is not clear which stereotype he is referring to.

1 & 2 negate the resolution.

Reasons for voting decision: Con decimated the meager arguments provided by Pro. Not surprising given that this is such an ignorant resolution. By ignorant I am not referring [in DDO, at least] to its insensitivity, but to the fact that it uses an unnecessary absolute.

Reasons for voting decision: Arguments: PRO produced no arguments at all and CON easily destroyed them.

Reasons for voting decision: Single round debates, pretty much free wins for the contender... Oh and hockey was mentioned, along with white people not all being rich CEOs.

Reasons for voting decision: Con successfully showed that pro's few examples aren't absolutes rules. Just because there are people who live up to racial stereotypes doesn't mean that the stereotypes are true.
