I welcome anyone who would like to debate with me. Good luck! I look forward to a good and exciting debate.

To start off, why should high school students be drug tested? Since when is it the school's job to see who is doing drugs and who isn't?

Random drug testing for High School Students is a very good idea. Even thought on rare occasions that students are under the influence/carrying drugs, it would scare them away from drugs. All types of illegal drugs are dangerous to people at that age, especially since they are still developing. Their growing body would more likely reject the drugs, and they would have more of an effect. These effects are not only dangerous to adults, but even more dangerous to youths. The thought of the Police performing random drug tests would turn multitudes of students away from drugs. Knowing that even after using the drug would they could still be caught would turn even more students away from drugs.

Through the time of adolescence, these students are more likely to give into peer pressure and try new things. This would turn off many students. This program has little negative factors and many benefits, and should be put in place in High Schools right around the country, and possibly the world.

it is not a good idea because there are drugs everywhere and so a result can come back positive even if the student hasn't taken anything. a experiment was done where a simple drug test kit was used to see weather or not it can be trusted, but what happened was a test came back positive for heroin and all the person had eaten was a couple of poppy seed items to see if that had the ability to get a unreliable result and another issue with this is that it is against peoples rights unless there is a suspicion that there is a crime or drugs on a student then can there be a search but if you are just randomly stopping and searching students then it is 1) immoral, 2) a breach of peoples rights and 3) against the law

This is an absurd notion.
