There is a lot of anti-rap internet memes, and while i can understand why someone wouldn't like rap the phrase" R.A.P" which is an acronym for "Retards attempting Poetry" has disturbed me. I will attempt to prove that some rap, not all, is in fact poetic.

I completely agree with everything you've said so far.

However, you're an idiot for posting this debate. Did you really think anyone was against it?

that facebook page has almost 2,000 fans. So back to the question of is there anyone against what i said? Um yes.
And if you need more links I can get them for you.

That's merely a green party

Typical haters. What's 2,000 people compared to 6,697,254,041 people.

It does not matter. You asked if there was anyone who was against me. I clearly proved there was and I was hoping that maybe someone here would want to debate me rather than insult me.

but if i say "Rap is poetry" then it would be all to easy or con to find next to 1,000 rap songs that are not poetic at all.Maybe the topic is too vague but there are those who think rap in general could never and would never be considered poetry. I wont be using underground rap as a source either. Only mainstream.

I disagree with the resolution. I agree that it should be changed to what Iamapanda said, but I still disagree.

The resolution should be more along the lines of "Rap is poetry", with clear definitions of rap and poetry

Exactly. Nobody in their right mind would accept this debate. It's easy to prove 1 or 2 rap songs as poetry. If someone takes this debate they might try to win on a technical description of poetry or something, but that'd be sort of a cop out.

Eh, the stickler he is "can". If you prove 2 rap songs are poetic you've won. Con has to take a near-impossible position.
