Pro

Nobody who has completed over 10 debates can accept. First round is for acceptance. 3,000 character limit.

Full resolution: rape victims are less likely to get pregnant as a result of the rape than other acts of sex, generally speaking.
Always-thinKING

Con

"act of sex" must include oral, anal, and vaginal.
..But okay, this is a ridiculous and somewhat degrading idea.

This round is for acceptance so I will respect that, but I have found many articles that show the exact opposite of your claim..

Most, if not nearly all scientist, disagree with pro.. But good luck pro and I hope this becomes a good debate.

Cheers,

Debate Round No. 1
Wylted

Pro

1. A higher proportion of rapes than consensual sex is homosexual in nature and therefore can't result pregnancy.

5% of inmates get raped every year by other inmates. http://www.bjs.gov...
6 million people are in jail which brings the total number of prison rapes up to 300,000.

One study found that 300,000 women are raped every year. https://www.ncjrs.gov...

Without any other factors that's 50 percent o rapes that can't possibly end in pregnancy and seeing as the majority of people having consensual sex are having are heterosexual possibly up to 90%, I'd say the number of rape encounters likely to end in pregnancy being only 50% compared to over 90% of consensual sex encounters.is is without even taking into consideration that most rapes are anal penetration as opposed to vaginal penetration which makes rape way less likely as well.

Resolution affirmed, vote pro.

If ninja, this is. About who made best arguments, not personal opinion. Debate is a competition, not a means for finding truth

Wylted, ARE YOU IMBECILIC? RAPE IS STILL SEX. SPERM CAN STILL GO TO EGG AND FERTILIZE IT IF THERE IS NO BIRTH CONTROL. WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?!

I saw some evidence to support that as a partial truth.

His full quote was "victims of "legitimate rape" very rarely get pregnant **because their bodies prevent them from doing so.**", not compared to other acts of sex...

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct - Pro. Con forfeited multiple rounds in this debate which is rarely acceptable conduct in any debate setting. S&G - Tie. Both had adequate spelling and grammar. Arguments - Pro. Con failed to present any case of negation aside from an unsupported claim that scientists disagree wtih Pro's position. Without any supporting evidence for that claim, I cannot give it much weight. Pro presented a case which was backed by sources and then went unchallenged for the remainder of the debate. For this, Pro wins arguments. Sources - Pro. Pro was the only one to utilize sources in this debate. This is a clear win for Pro.
