Batters
Atlanta doesn't have a single batter with an average above 300 (if you discount the SS) It's 4-0 in that cattigory, one batter with an 20 HR vs. BOS's 4, 4-1, No one with RBI's above 90 vs. BOS's 3 so 3-1
Pen and pitchers
Atlanta has only 2 pitchers with a than saves vs. BOS 5-1, pitchers with more than 5 wins Bos 6-5, ERA's under 4 9- 12 ATL
Overveiw
Atlanta has PHI, NYM, WAS, FLA in their divisons vs. Boston's NYY, TB, TOR, and BAL, clearly Boston has the better divson. So after all the Tests that I've done the score is BOSTON 32-20

Atlanta has two hitters with over 20 home runs. Dan Uggla with 36 and Freddie Freeman 21.
The Red Soxs get a full time DH while the Braves have to use a pitcher in that spot. If Eric Hinske got a full season of at-bats he would have had at least 20 home runs and more RBIs.
Kimbrel had 46 saves by himself and Boston had 48 as a team. The Braves had 4 pitchers in their bullpen with an ERA under 3.00 and one with a 3.00 while Boston had 2. The Braves bullpen could be the best in all of baseball. Kimbrel set a Major League Rookie record with 46 saves and was named NL Rookie of the year. He also made 79 appearances. Venters made 85 appearances and O'Flaherty made 78. These three pitchers led the MLB in appearances. O'Flaherty is the first pitcher in MLB history to have an ERA under 1 (0.98) with at least 70 appearances. He had 78.
With all of the starting pitchers combined in both teams, The Braves Tim Hudson had the most wins with 16. Jair Jurrgens was an all-star pitcher, Boston had none. (The NL won the All-Star game.)
The Braves have the fourth best prospect in all of Major League Baseball in Julio Teheran. They have 5 in the top 100 and the Red Sox have 4. The Braves have 3 in the top 50 and Boston has none.
I believe better pitching is key in winning baseball games.
Phi had the best record in all of baseball last year and the rest of the division is getting better. Both teams play in very tough divisions.
The two teams did not play against each other last year but they have 3 coming up this season.
Boston does have a better hitting line up but they have a DH also. Take Ortiz out of the everyday lineup and replace him with a pitcher and Boston is a different team. Or add an everyday DH to the Braves and the hitting line ups would be even.
The Braves have talent hitting wise to win in the NL but their pitching makes them contenders in all of the MLB.

Boston lost 3 out of 4 to MINNESOTA! Good teams don't lose a series to the Twins.

In my oppinion I beleive that the Red Sox would be the better overall team. Due to the batting averages of the Braves.
