Prostitution should be legalised in the UK and should be regulated to ensure that all members of the transaction are protected. This would reduce the risk of prostitution for workers who are perfectly entitled to do what they want with their own body.

I am arguing against your ideology that prostitution should be regulated and legalised.

I believe that this should not be the case, prostitution (especially in the case of brothels and street workers) are often a result of human trafficking. In 2013 the U.S. State Department estimated that there are 27 million victims worldwide trafficked for forced labour or commercial sex exploitation. This figure is shocking as the human trafficking into sexual work has an industry worth 150 billion dollars. Instead of legalising prostitution more should be done to find and protect trafficked young women and stop human traffickers illegally smuggling people from third world countries against their will.

panicinthetarids, i'm wondering if you will be posting an argument on your other debate, just a reminder, there's about 1 day left, since I didn't see an argument in Round 2.
