Though after years and years, decades and decades, some people still believe that religion is a total force that go against science, like water and fire. Even such great scientists like Richard Dawkins bears that thought, that frightening thought. Can science and religion lives in harmony and befriend? I wholeheartedly believe so.

It has been a long time I haven't debate, so pardon me if I make some mistake in these rounds.

Thank you for this debate DebateSpirit. As this is a five round debate, I am going to use this round more as an introduction and to address a few concerns.

Though I have inferred that DebateSpirit will be arguing that religion and science are forces that work can work in harmony, no specific resolution for this debate has been provided. I urge my opponent to provide a specific resolution in the next round.

Due to the lack of a resolution, I cannot offer a specific argument at this time. The overall idea of my intended argument is that the method of thinking that supports a religious approach directly contradicts that which supports a scientific approach. Science and religion are also used with drastically different goals in mind. I will get into specifics in later rounds, but for now there is not much of a debate.
