I think religious texts should not be used to support one's theories or back up one's beliefs, that someone shouldn't be allowed to hold a Bible and scream that what someone else is thinking or doing is wrong simply because the book says so and the book is always right. I know that it's senseless to waste our time and energy bickering what's wrong and what's right based on a specific religious text's syntax.

Con

I will accept your argument on the notion that religious texts should not be used as a sited source as con and I will prove to you that religious texts should be a sited source in an argument.

I will wait until the next round to post my argument. Until then good luck pro I will be looking forward to this debate.

This comes down to "What religion is the correct one? (If there even exists one)" Otherwise you can make your own religion up and cite yourself...

The main problem with this debate is the very first sentence..... "I think"

I'm not even religious, and I am 100% against you on that notion. But your argument seems entirely emotional and based on stereotypes, so I won't take up this debate.
