The United States of America will continue to decline unless it distances itself from religion and becomes more secular. America need to learn how to change and adapt so that it can grow and move into the future and not be shackled by the past. The things that may have worked in the past don't anymore and we need to learn what will work for today.

The resolution proposed by Pro isn't very clear. The resolution is “A secular government is more superior than a religious government”, I don't think Pro will disagree with me on this.

Pro claims that a secular government would distance itself from religion which is completely false. In fact, a secular government would become closer in that it would slowly overtime have more harsher and harsher stances on religion.

A secular state is a slow process which corrodes religious values and religiosity overtime. Eventually the majority of the state becomes atheistic (irreligious), this is the very definition of secularization.

Secularization or secularisation (see spelling differences) is the transformation of a society from close identification with religiousvalues and institutions toward nonreligious (or irreligious) values and secular institutions.

A secular state accomplishes this by warping societal norms so that religion is stripped of all societal influence and remembrance, eventually becoming neglected. There is good proof for this. A british organization took a survey on religiosity for about 20 years and the results are suprising.

An example of the way a secular state warps societal norms is in the discussion of religion in public. It is generally taboo (socially) to speak of religion in most discussions. This is how a secular state accomplishes its goals of becoming atheistic.

All Pro makes are claims without any supporting proofs. Religion is what gives society a basic set of rules that have a strong authority. God has much stronger authority then a weak limited man. Also its a fact that God exists. All knowledge, causes, and moral justification have an infinite chain which must have an eternal source for an infinite is logically absurd. This eternal source of all knowledge, the first cause, and the source by which all sound morality comes from is without a doubt God.

I await a response from Pro.
