One of democracy's finese principles is the single fudemental of "all [wo]men created equal" and "one [wo]man, one vote." Why should it be otherwise? Isn't this the purest and most fair type of democracy, that evey single person shoudl they are casting a vote that is relavitly the same value as that of their neighbour, or a person from another region?

Yet for some strange, undemocratic, and unfair reason many professing democracies rig their electoral system otherwise. For example the US Senate (which plays a significant role in deciding US affairs) gives 2 seat to all US States, be it California with 35 million... or Wyoming with 0.5 million. How come the votes of Wyomingers are worth 70 times as much as that of a LA resident? Is this democracy?

This sort of process if remincient of the old days in which each hiearchy of the nobilty had a different level of push on affairs, and asserted their power through it. But shouldn't a country claming to be a democracy, such as the United States give equal voice to all its citiznes throughout a supposdely united land? Give a good reason why it should be otherwise.

The U.S. is not, never has been, and never was intended to be a democracy. True democracies have many problems that wouldn't work in a society with a large population base.
