If you dont know what 'Dwarf Tossing' is then I advise that you google it first so you can get the idea. Its a pretty easy thing to learn and understand

I will be arguing that dwarf tossing SHOULD be an Olympic Sport, con will argue that it shouldnt be an Olympic Sport.

First round is NOT acceptance only

Con was busy with work so me and him agreed to let him sit out the first round.

Arguments for making Dwarf Tossing a Sport:

1) It is indeed classified as a sport.

The definition of a sport is "an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature"

http://dictionary.reference.com...

Dwarf Tossing qualifies as an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess, and is also a competitive sport, since Dwarf tossing is defined as:

"A bar attraction in which dwarfs wearing special padded clothing or Velcro costumes are thrown onto mattresses or at Velcro-coated walls. Participants compete to throw the dwarf the farthest."

http://en.wikipedia.org...

So basically, it is an actual sport, meaning it can very well be an olympic event.

2) It would make the Olympics more interesting.

Apart from the 100 meter dash and a few swimming events, when was the last time you came across an olympic sport on TV that actually interested you? Im willing to bet that 90% of people reading this right now never even watched the Sochi Olympics this year. Of the 10% that did, I'm willing to bet that a tremendous majority of people only watched mens Ice Hockey too.

If Dwarf Tossing were an olympic sport, it would make the Olympics more watchable, that is simply undeniable

3) It would help create jobs for dwarfs

If you think regular sized people have it tough in this economy, imagine how mad dwarfs have it. Christmas is over now which means Santa isnt hiring any additional help, there is an abundance of garden nome applicants, and the cookie-baking industry have been laying off dwarves like crazy after Congress declared that 'its not safe to bake cookies in trees'.....

Point is: Dwarves have it really hard in life with very, VERY few options to pursue as a career. Dwarf tossing though could change that!

Con

I apologize for this but with the work I've had to do, and the fact that almost all day yesterday and early today I've had problems with my internet, I will be unable to day the debate.

Thank you.

Dwarf tossing? Like lord of the ring? Where he kills a bunch of orcs. (Remembering the scene)
