There are many reasons why retribution is more beneficial than rehabilitation. One of which is if rehab fails, you are releasing dangerous people back into the community. Why give killers a second chance to murder? Releasing dangerous criminals back into society will put innocent citizens in danger. I understand that in some cases it is more expensive to house a prisoner than to pay for rehabilitation centers. However, which is more important;having a few extra dollars or safety? I choose safety

Con

Rehabilitation gives you the opportunity for someone with problems to fix what retribution cant and that is why more people prefer this over anything now because it works while retribution doesnt

Reasons for voting decision: Easiest debate to judge.... like ever. Rehabilitation "works" while retaliation "doesn't." Granted, there was no evidence, only claims, and the superior claim is that of CON.

Reasons for voting decision: You can't really debate with only one round, but whatever, I guess. Pro never had time to rebut, so I have to look to Con. Neither provide evidence so claims don't matter.
