I think Ron Paul is too old. This world needs fresh, innovative thinkers with modern solutions that work. This is no time for a republican and ding dang politics. This guy will just stir up trouble (Bush style) and before you know it we will have trouble on our hands.

1st I will address my opponent's argumentation by saying sure, Ron Paul is old but he is the only loyal member of the Republican party serious about making changes, the others are not serious about changing the status quo. Ron Paul has been saying the same thing for 30 years which he has been consistently ignored due to the mainstream media not accepting the truth. Ron Paul brings about the revival of liberty in the United States at the time when it is crucial which leads me onto
Contention 1

Ron Paul wants to restore liberty in the United States of America. Ron Paul once said ""I'm convinced that you never have to give up liberties to be safe. I think you're less safe when you give up your liberties." We can see this in many reasons because as soon as the military can indefinitely detain people who they think are terrorists, that means we lose our right to be safe and secure in our own households. The Patriot act and the National Authorization Act of 2012 have taken away many of our constitutional rights such as the right to a speedy trial, a right to a jury, and the right to be secure in our own houses with the government intruding onto all our business. We need to save individual liberty and preserve it if we want to remain a prosperous country because after all, the founders cherished liberty not direct democracy, they made the United States into a representative democracy for a reason.
Contention 2 - The Economy

Ron Paul will fix the economy by doing many things. One of the things he will do are to cut taxes for the average American population along with the employers which means the employers would have more money to hire more people to work at their corporation or business and that the average American will have more money for us to circulate the economy. The reason why he would actually get funding for this is because we would stop spending money on unnecessary military bases and embassies worldwide in 193 countries. The second thing he would do is audit the federal reserve. Now, auditing the federal reserve is a key factor in restoring our economy because as long as the government has the power to print paper money, the people lose the power to actually have value to our assets. For example, if a person has 100 gold coins when the government has gone bankrupt compared to a person with a government currency worth nothing due to hyperinflation and mistakes by the government liquidating all their assets leaving the people to suffer with rising prices on food like what happened in Germany in the 1930s before Hitler rose to full power.
Contention 3 - Education

Ron Paul would eliminate the Department of Education which means more assets and capital would go to the states for them to handle all the standards and currency and some of the positions that the Department of Education uses would be transferred to the state. I support the privatization of the school system because simply, if private companies make websites that are online schools, it would help the students learn more in a shorter amount of time. Students would no longer be sitting in a classroom but sitting in front of their computer face to face with their teacher or reading a lesson plan online to cut down the cost and lower the age of graduation while actually learning the same things we would be learning in school. Public schools in a physical environment are no longer the solution to our problems. In fact, this system has been outdated for so long that it should have been abolished since the Internet was created. The Internet has created new opportunities for online education that are far more superior than going to a public school by providing students with the same amount of material you learn at 16 years of age compared with going to a public school classroom until 18 years of age. Those two years graduating early may be used to be provide students with additional college opportunities such as getting a P.H.D in political science. This way, we would be out educating every other country in the planet and finally catching up to our Chinese counterparts.

Contention 4 - Foreign Policy
Ron Paul has a very easy to follow foreign policy. Ron Paul DOES NOT have an isolationist foreign policy, he is not an isolationist, Ron Paul just wants Congress to declare war before actually going to war instead of the president actually talking to attorneys instead of the representatives of the people to go to war. For example, instead of spending trillions of dollars bombing Iraq and Afghanistan, we could have made friends with the leaders of those countries and earned billions of dollars by being their ally instead of their enemy. Ron Paul also wants to cut aid to Israel which I clearly support, cutting aid to Israel will give more soft power to the United States in the Middle East by cutting all aid to Israel, making friends with all the Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia which clearly hate what the Israelis are doing in their region. Israel can do whatever they want with their military as long as they do not drag the United States into Israel's' business, Israel should have their own foreign policy and business while the United States should stay out of other countries' affairs to avoid spending more money on aggressive wars. Ron Paul will also help weaken the military industrial complex. In Dwight Eisenhower's farewell address, he stated that we should avoid all unnecessary influence by the military industrial complex. The politicians in the status quo are being bribed and tricked into supporting the military industrial complex due to the amount of money they are getting into their contracts to go into our countries and bomb them.

Contention 5 - The War on Drugs
The war on Drugs waged 30 years ago against the nation of Columbia which has now spread all the way throughout Latin America to Mexico has failed. Our politicians have not been aware of the consequences of the drug war such as billions of dollars being thrown down the drain. The easiest way to solve the drug problem is to legalize drugs and tax drugs to pay back our debt. For example, in the state of California, we can see that many of the Northern regions have so much marijuana that the Drug Enforcement Administration cannot get rid of all of it. The solution to this is not to waste Drug Enforcement Administration resources but to legalize drugs and tax them to have a home grown marijuana industry. This would also stop the drug flow from Mexico due to the lack of demand to the region of Mexico when we have home grown plants here. The second reason why this is good is because 64% of African Americans get arrested for non violent offenses such as smoking drugs and get put into prison for years when they should be put into rehabilitation centers. The government has no right what you put into your body, that should be up to your school, your community, your family or your friends. The government has no constitutional right to regulate what goes into your body, they only have the rights granted to them by the Constitution. The Constitution was written for a reason and the reason why it was written was because we needed to avoid abuse by politicians against the people like we do now.

Conclusion
I support the following resolution Resolved: Ron Paul should be the next president of the United States. My first reason is that he will seriously consider our liberties and preserve the liberties of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness granted to us by the Constitution. The second reason is that he would cut taxes and abolish the IRS in the long term to preserve and increase consumer confidence in our economy to start circulating it again. The 3rd reason is that his educational policies would help us catch up in education to the rest of the world. The 4th reason is that his foreign policy would make the United States have more friends than enemies. The final and 5th reason is that he would repeal the drug laws

This is indeed not my primary topic of interest because I don't really follow American politics. I think it would be smarter to close this and restart it, picking someone else.

I'm a noob to this site, take some time to get used to.

Your opponent doesn't really seem to know what he is talking about, as all of his round 1 arguments are either false or just plain stupid. If you would like to debate this seriously with a serious opponent, pm me.
