I am seeing a comeback of these cubic puzzles lately and i believe that people are showing more interest in them than ever before.

Thanks to the pro side for this interesting topic. I would contend the cube is maintaining a relatively steady state of low popularity, and that it will be impossible for this puzzle toy to ever achieve the level of popularity it achieved at the height of the craze in the early 80s. Since that timeframe was the high water mark of cube popularity, the Pro's opening assertion is false. I am basing my assessment on not only my observations at the local high school and elementary school where my children have attended, but on my own experience. I grew up in the 80's when the cube craze hit. They were everywhere--the mall, at lunch, on the playground, etc. Not only are they nowhere near that popularity, they simply are non existent at the local schools. Given the high population density where I live, I should have seen one by now if they were coming back in popularity.

Request my opponent forfeit this debate as they have blown off one of the 3 rounds leaving little ability to argue/rebut in the 3rd round.

What??? Really??!! When I grew up, everyone and I mean everyone had a Rubics Cube in the house. They were joked about at parties and passed around. Kids carried them around everywhere. There was a Store specially dedicated to them. What is this debate really about?

I don't feel that this debate is one worth having, I apologize if that sounds rude, but most people here would like to have debates that they feel would help them to better understand the world around them. This has very little weight on the real world.

The fact that you can't spell it signifies that they are not coming back to prominence
