If there are any questions about the structure stated above, they will be asked an answered, as acceptance means that Con accepts the framer's intentions of the above structure if he does not ask questions about it.

Rules:
No Semantics
Burden of proof is split and even.
A forfeit for whatever reason will count as an automatic loss.

If either side does not follow this structure or these rules, it is an automatic loss to this debate.

No definitions where provided, I will define therefore it is not semantics. It is likely what my opponent would have used.

"the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law" -- http://www.merriam-webster.com...

I accept.

It's agreed to leave this debate as a tie. Apparently 16kadams will not debate unless we debate under a structure of his own.

Con

Marriage is a secular institution.

anyway vote tie.

This debate was focused on morality, anyway. Con did not want to debate that way.

Vote tie. :)

Con

How do you debate SSM in a moral way?

You debate why it should be legal... It's all based on the arguments, not the structure.

Con

Ok I will challenge you soon

Awesome! Vote Tie! The third rule about a forfeit for whatever reason will count as an automatic loss does not apply.

Vote tie or don't vote.

First round: acceptance. Not First round: post definitions. Constructive arguments carry definitions :P

Meaning that you'll lose any argument that will debate morality on the issue. Lovely.

ah structure does not even imply definitions.

Sure call it draw, marriage is a governmental institution and I shall not argue otherwise.

Definitions go in constructive speeches, not in the intro. Acceptance does not entitle definitions. You CANNOT assume that and then accept your own definition that limits this debate as far as you did. If you want to debate this, we are dropping your definition. As I said: "If there are any questions about the structure stated above, they will be asked an answered, as acceptance means that Con accepts the framer's intentions of the above structure if he does not ask questions about it." You should have waited.

You kind of accepted before I could tell you this. But no, we are not debating this specifically as a government regulated institution. If you don't want to debate, I guess we can call it a draw or something.

hey, I will only accept this if you agree we are debating this as a government regulated institution. (the government regulates it in other words)
