I believe that everyone is entitled to their own happiness. That's what comes with being an American. I don't really understand why same sex marriage is such a big deal, and why we have to use the bible as an excuse to outlaw same sex marriage. Everyone should be able to love who ever they want, whether you are Caucasian. African American, Hispanic, Gay, Lesbian. It makes no difference.
The United States Bill of rights guarantees the right to freedom of religion. And since allowing or banning Gay marriage would indirectly affect that right, I think that this issue should be left up to the states and religious officials to decide.
Okay but not all religions oppose same sex marriage. So by outlawing gay marriage, aren't you in the process leaving out that religions' views and beliefs. And yes the Bill of rights does guarantees freedom of religion, but I don't see what that has to do with giving gays the right of same sex marriage People need to realize that gayness is not a disease. Just because two gay men are going to get married does not mean its going to have any effect over your life, or make you change your religious views, So yes we are allowed freedom of religion but we should also be free to marry who ever we chose.
By allowing Gay marriage, a issue that is a religious one, we kind of violate the United States Constitution. The United States Constitution does not say anything about this issue. In fact It says that any Issue that is a religious issue not specified, is to be left up to the states.
