Well, extending school hours won't be that bad. Even if school hours extend, there is no saying about more homework assignments and so on, that's slippery slope. If we extend school hours, the designated number of classes would be fulfilled more quickly, thus giving more chances of doing activities such as field trips, or recreation time, so, in fact, this might even help solve the depression of students.
Well... My contender seems to have forfeited round 2, so I'll just expand on what I just said in Round 1. Extending school hours can be beneficial. For example, more school hours can mean more learning, but that doesn't always mean more stress. If students learn more at school, the less they will have to learn at home or by private tutoring. That will significantly decrease stress, and also, with more work, there may be less stress for exams since they would have prepared more than they normally did simply by listening to lectures. So, these are the reasons why extended hours can be usefull.
