Hello, Challenger. You will be taking the position as the Pro (for) person. You will describe the many ways that school uniforms should be in schools. The first round will be basic. You will give information on your side of things, and cite some evidence. The second round will be basic also. On the third round we will give questions to our opponent, and in the fourth round, we will answer those questions.
1) Uncited evidence is not allowed. PLEASE cite your evidence
2) You get two days to per round.
3) If you don't publish your argument in that amount of time, you forfeit.
If you have any questions about the rules, post them below.

Uniforms: an identifying outfit or style of dress worn by the members of a given profession, organization, or rank.

Required: to have of; need;

School: an institution where instruction is given, especially to persons under college age:

'According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, roughly 800,000 children are reported missing each year in the United States -- that's roughly 2,000 per day. Of those, there are 115 child "stranger abduction" cases each year, which means the child was taken by an unknown person.' These are in the United States where uniform is not compulsory. 'And 100,000 children under 16 years old run away overnight from home or care each year in the UK. In 2010/11, 91 per cent of missing incidents reported to the police were closed within 48 hours, with 99 per cent of all missing cases solved within one year' These are in the United Kingdom where uniform is compulsory. What can we see here? A much higher success rate in the U.K. Whilst lots of different factors can affect this result, a large percentage is due to the children here wearing uniform which allows (if a young child to be found) to be returned to the area where they came from.
Debate Round No. 1

I have read your argument, thoroughly.
My argument:
As many have said, school uniforms are a huge disadvantage, but, I will say, has some advantages. I have heard many times that school uniforms take away the freedom of the students expressing themselves through their items of clothing. Many girls love having the freedom to pick and choose what they wear to school, but that changes with a school uniform. They have to always choose this one, boring, outfit that they wear weekday after weekday. Boys will also want to wear items of clothing such as Jordans, Nikes, KDs... When you have on a school uniform, they can't express themselves through their shoes.
Another disadvantage is that clothing takes away the privilege of the students' expressing their culture. Many students' come from different cultures- African, Hawaiian, French, European... The list goes on and on. Uniforms don't allow the students' to express and take pride in their culture through their items of clothing. They could come from an African culture and have African items of clothing. The uniform-based school will not allow them to wear it. That goes for other cultures also.

A school district in North Jersey is reporting that implementing school uniforms is directly reducing bullying. At this school, even students are commenting directly that uniforms are decreasing bullying.'[] Sure kids will want to show all their friends about the new nike shows they got, but what if they're friends can't afford it. It will be pressurizing to them in a way for them to buy the new nike shows just because their friend has it so they can be 'cool' aswell. School Uniforms get the schools students to make them look the same regardless of their wealth which I find can be very advantaging to kids from disadvantaged families.
