Topic - Science ultimately leads to the destruction of humanity or earth, therefore humans ought to stop science.

It must be accepted that destruction of earth and humanity is bad.

I will be representing the Pro side of the topic.

Rules:
1. All proven invalid arguments must not be considered by the voters.

2. No new arguments in the final rounds.

3. New words (be reasonable) must be defined by the person initially using it. If it is not defined then it is open to the opponent to define it. If defined by the opponent then the original user can not fight that definition. However if the original user did define it, then the opponent can fight the definition if they think it is wrong. Definitions must actually represent the word. (Bad definition example Dog: A large mass of water vapor in the air.) Please try to be reasonable with definitions, while they are very important in debates, it is best to have the debate to be topical, not definition.

4. Dropping a point from your opponent implies consent. Please respond to your opponents entire argument. Unless you agree with a certain point.

5. No trolling.

6. Round 1 for the acceptor of the debate is only to accept the topic and to offer definitions not provided by the OP on the actual TOPIC, if needed.

Definitions:
Non debatable definitions:
Logical PC - And (both statements are true) Or (either statement is true) then (If A is true then B is true, if A is false then B is either true or false, If B is false then A is false) If and only if (If A is true, then B is true, if B is true then A is true)
Law of Non Contradiction - A can not be both true and false
Law of Identity- A must equal A
Necessary - A must be true in all possible worlds
Possible - A is true in at least one world
Actual - A is true in the world I currently live in
Ought - obliged to do
Permissible - Does not matter whether it is done or not
Exclusive or - Either A is true or B is true, both can not be true. (It is automatically assumed inclusive or, since that is how logic works, it must be explicitly stated to be elusive and reasoning.)
Kants Law - if you ought do something then it is possible for you to do something
Therefore - in logical conclusion

Debatable definitions (be reasonable please)
Science - the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.
Ultimately - will eventually lead to
Leads - causes, entailment
Destruction - the end, removal, failure, extinction
Earth - the physical rock humans live on, and it also has many life forms on it.
Humanity - Homo sapiens sapiens
Stop - putting an end to, no longer moving.
