I am holding the position of Scotland being an independent nation. I believe this because the Scottish people are capable of continuing a normal everyday society without needing to be 'mothered' by the rest of the UK.
I believe that Scotland would be fools if they voted for independence. There are many reasons for this, it is that they are forcing people of all ages to make a serious life changing decision, that some people may not be willing to make as they are comfortable living as they are.
For example; there are many businesses that are considering moving if Scotland became independent. This means that people will be made redundant and therefore lose vital income.
I love the picture, although you are not harry potter :P now to the matter at hand, first of all you have used the argument element of Ad hominem, you should try to avoid this at all costs as it is going to lose you marks unless it is specifically asked for. Now, I notice in your argument above that you state "they are forcing people of all ages to make a serious life changing decision" however they are actually only making people 16 or over vote so it is not everyone of all ages as you state. Also, you fail to take into account that businesses that move out of Scotland would be replaced by the companies that would back in, so The RBS has stated they would move into Scotland whilst HSBC have stated they would consider relocating towards London. Therefore the number of jobs lost would be minimal to none, as every business that cuts jobs, the jobs would become available in the new business, so in essence they will swap companies to go with the new company in Scotland.
