In my last debate about this, i did not take con very seriously, and that cost me the debate. this time, i will attempt to use evidence and not just logic to prove that liberal holidays like these are useless.

Since you did not start debating in the first round I'll let you have the first debate as it doesn't seem fair for me to have an extra round

I will also try to use evidence
May the best debater win

Thanks for accepting the challenge. First of all, scream at the sky day is a sort of holiday made to protest 'the current state of our democracy', and/or the election of Donald Trump. America's voting system however, has been operating like this for hundreds of years. Both Hillary and Trump played by the rules and Donald won. Scream at the sky is protesting the American voting system, which allows for all states to get a say. Donald won over America, while Clinton won over a few large states. This holiday is unless.

Sorry for the late reply I was kinda busy

Although, yes Donald trump did win the election more people voted for Hillary and Trump just used better tactics to win. Hillary is the 5th president contender to lose the election desire having more votes. Hillary did not win 'over a few states' she won over more of America than Trump. This isn't fair at all and scream at the sky day is a way to protest this and maybe put pressure on the electoral system to change.
In the past there have been campaigns to put pressure on the government for change. Notably the "Pink Slip" project, which sent 9 million messages to Congress on pink paper threatening members with rejection at the polls in November 2010 if they did not act on their campaign promises. The campaign was so successful, it exhausted supplies of pink paper in North America. Republicans gained 63 House seats to take control of the House of Representatives in that election.
Scream at the sky day is also a stress reliever for the citizens of America which in itself is a use.

I agree that its a stress reliever for some people. However, the protest is useless when it comes to changing the voting system. Your right that only a few people have won even though they did not win popular vote. However, this just goes to show that most of the time, the electoral college works with the people. Continuing, 46.4% voters voted for Trump, while 48.5% voted for Clinton. (popular vote) The difference was 2 percent. Although that's still a large sum of people, it was only two percent when added up together. Also, a vast majority of Clinton's votes came from large Democratic states, like California. While Trump won people across the country, Clinton won people in large states. Having places like California and NY basically control who gets elected is not in the peoples best interest. The electoral college is their to make sure all states get what they want. And even though you are right about some protests making a difference, this one likely will not. Screaming at the sky does not offer solutions to the "problem". It does not address anything at all really. All it is is one big public tantrum. A thousand people is not a big number when their are millions of people in America. I'm betting that the vast majority of people in the USA can handle frustration better than screaming.

Trump was appealing towards certain groups, which was a smart move but also morally questionable. NY and California were simply not the target states Trump was appealing to. This doesn't say that NY and California get to pick who is the president.
Scream at the sky day was meant as a stress reliever and didn't have an ulterior motive. But then again what isn't a waste of time? Most hobbies are in fact a waste of time unless enjoying life isn't a waste of time. Stress relief actually helps people be more productive which may actually serve in making America more productive overall once people get their frustration out. Some people even threatened to move countries which in itself shows how angry they were. Scream at the sky day is also people exercising their freedom of speech act which creates a healthier environment as people realise America is still a free country even with Trump in charge

I don't know if it's exactly useless because it can help relieve stress, I guess. However, I would say it causes quite a few problems.
