Sean Penn is an idiot. I think we all can agree that he is very pretentious and takes himself way too seriously. Also is it just me or does he overact in ever movie he is in?

Penn also gives a really bad name to liberal politics and in my opinion only hurts the cause. He is good friends with Hugo Chavez. I saw him speak once with Jane Fonda and it was pathetic and totally unimpressive.

I could go on but id like to hear what others have to say about this massive idiot.

PS.
His ONLY good role was that of Spicolli, since then hes taken himself way to seriously

Hello, esmith, and this will be easy to prove you wrong. I want to take a direct quote from kels from the comments, and I will base most of my debate upon that:

She said:

"but he is not a politician he is an actor so to me that doesn't matter. He is a good actor."

There. Its said. His political views are completely out of the debate. Out the window. We will now only talk about his acting. For that, here is a list of all the movies he has been in, courtesy of IMDB:

Now, If Im not mistaken, they wouldnt hire an actor who is an idiot for roles in 45 movies, now would they?

He was also a director a writer and a producer, so this man has done alot. There is much more material on him, so please do refute.

Thank you.

Did you know that Penn is a high school dropout? Did you also know that he was married to Madonna? Did u know that he abused her and was charged with domestic assult?

Who cares how many movies he has been in? Does that make him more of a man?

He Beat his wife!

Hello, esmith. This is not something easy to say, but here it goes. Actually try to debate, ok? This is a website for debating, not asking people did you know? Anyways, you said:

The list keeps going. There are more awards and more awards and more awards, and frankly if he was an Idiot, would he be getting all the awards? I think not. He is a very intelligent man who has been in some great roles.

Thank you and I await your rebuttal.

Could you debate me instead of making lists?

This debate is not just about Sean Penn being an actor. My case is that he is an idiot, and a violent one at that. You cant change the debate to your liking.

His violent outbursts are not just designated to Madonna. He has had several violent outbursts against the press, including one incident where he beat up a photographer and was arrested.

Another point I want to make in my closing argument is that his politics do matter. And if he is really a liberal, he does a terrible job supporting the cause. Hes close friends with super corrupt Hugo Chavez, Jane Fonda, and he has said "Lets put this president in fucking jail".

Who remembers back at the Oscars when Chris Rock made a harmless joke about Jude Law. Sean Penn came out and said, "Jude Law is one of our finest actors". The whole world laughed in his face. He is a joke of a man.

Its a pretty unfortunate man that we are discussing. As a close I want you to remember that if you vote for the "list" guy you are making a vote for a violent idiot who beats his wife and hangs out with dictators.

Sean Penn is an idiot. Thanks for listening

Hugo Chavez? JANE FREAKING FONDA? there is something seriously wrong with your perception of the world. As I like to keep closing arguments short and to the point, that is what this will be. I will refute:

"Could you debate me instead of making lists?

No more lists, I assure you.

He is not an Idiot. here is the definition:
Psychology. a person of the lowest order in a former classification of mental retardation, having a mental age of less than three years old and an intelligence quotient under 25.

As far as I know, Sean Penn is older than 3 and has an IQ higher than 25. Moving on.

Liberals would want this "fucking" president gone. anyways...

I think jude Law is a fine actor, and the ridicule was unnecesary.

There are so many violent celebrities out there it is common knowledge and commonly accepted when someone lashes out.

Thank you and please vote for the "list guy", becuase you are voting for the better debater.

Thank you.

I've personally seen Sean Penn at work while he was making Into the Wild. His work is brilliant. Just because you don't have booksmarts does not make you an "idiot." Into the wild was written AND directed by him, it was a good movie, an idiot couldn't have made it by himself, I trick myself to vote Con.

Idiot for dropping out of HS? Well...

I think I want that president gone.

Stop making Chavez look so bad. Corruption is a two way process. Do you know how much dirty politics America plays? Hell Corruption is legal over here. Is that not what they called Lobbying????

I think he is one of the best actors. Now, if the topic were Tom Cruise is an idiot I would vote for before reading the issue.

It's always funny to see people who know absolutely nothing about Venezuela disparage Hugo Chavez as though simply uttering his name should automatically end any debate.

"I mean, my god people - he TALKED to HUGO CHAVEZ!"

[Crickets]

"HUGO CHAVEZ. Did you hear what I said?"

[Crickets]

"H-U-G-O C-H-A-V-E-Z."

[Crickets]

"Hugo Chavez...like, if Hitler and Stalin had sex - Hugo Chavez would be the bully that took the lunch money away from their demon-spawn child. That's how evil he is. I mean, like, he NATIONALIZED Venezuela's natural resources!!"
