Many people say the older the gaming system the better, I believe that statement is incorrect

= Introduction =
I thank my opponent for making this debate, and I hope we can have fun debating this topic!

Since this is the first round and my opponent has not offered any constructive arguments, I will not do so either for the sake of fairness. That said I will be making some clarifications/observations about this round in general.

= Obervations =
First, as my opponent has initiated this debate, he will be holding the burden of proof in showing that the Sega Genesis is a better gaming system than the Ps3. If he is unable to do so then he will lose the debate.

Second, the object up for debate here will be the gaming capabilities of these two systems. Not the games, or titles offered on these two systems. Accordingly any arguments that claim that one of these systems offers a better game series should be disregarded completely.

= Conclusion =
In conclusion, here's to an awesome debate!
Good luck to my opponent, and thanks to every-one who takes the time to read.

Actually I like this better. Before I had an easy win on my hands, now I can bend my brain as much as possible.

"That's a Homer Simpson DOH! for you."

Sorry for interrupting, but I find Homer Simpson to be one of the funniest characters on television. His job at the nuclear plant (as a safety inspector), and his inefficiency at the execution of such an occupation, home, and misadventures make up prime television time...Ah, Homer...he's with Micky Mouse, Felix the Cat, Bugs Bunny, Cartman [and Kyle, Kenny, and Stan], and even his own kids in the top tier of animated television.

Sorry for the nostalgia...

Orange, in your "observations," you probably should have noted who took Pro and who took Con - you're stuck defending Genesis! That's a Homer Simpson DOH! for you.

Obviously comparing the Genesis to the PS3 would be like comparing a 2010 Ferrari to a Ford Model T, so I would suggest that you guys instead debate the relative successes of your consoles instead of the absolute gaming capability, since it's utterly absurd. You can compare them to their contemporaries in the market at the time, look at sales, etc. Sh*t... I still have more fun playing the early Phantasy Stars than I do anything on PS3 :)

Reasons for voting decision: Sad debate, indeed: Con never formulated a case and Pro, consequently, could not rebut or refute Pro's arguments, thereby threatening, and destroying, the integrity of the 'debate'. Pro earns points for conduct due to Pro's forfeits (and tardiness) and also spelling and grammar as well [Pro's only post is grammatically incorrect and a run-on sentence].
