First of all, selfies can be revealing.

Hello, I am dtien and I am contending that selfies should not be prohibited in social media.

My Argument:

Under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, a treaty that not only partially makes up the International Bill of Human Rights (which is monitored by the United Nations Human Rights Committee) but must be adhered to by the majority of the nations of the world including the U.S., freedom of expression is a mandated human right for all people.

To take away selfies would infringe on people's freedom of expression as long as there is nothing wrong with the selfies, which leads us to Con's point - that selfies can be revealing.

My Rebuttal:

Any photographs can be revealing. There is no need to single out selfies.
