Reparations should be paid to African Americans they are a people who have been through a lot for this country. They have contributed over half of things we use every day and never go the credit they deserve. That reason alone is should factor a major part of why their families should be compensated in some way , shape or form. In addition to that they have been beaten not just in slavery but today still their families deserve to be at least consoled for their losses from HATE CRIMES! Finally, even though you might think it to be a burden to pay for past crimes it really wouldn't be in fact it would just stimulate cash flow and create jobs to verify all of the necessary information just to name one profession.

Hell no! Anyone can apply and receive welfare whether they deserve it or not. African Americans specifically deserve to be at least acknowledged of their hard work and inventions as well as be compensated for their ideas that. Which were stolen, by the way, by the very same people who are trying to kill them off as we speak. Now I'm not saying all white people are bad , but the ones who stole are and have stood on African American's backs for far to long. I think its time African Americans stood up and knocked them on their asses.

So , just curious, do you think that African Americans were wronged? Because that's what we are debating, and since you brought up being stolen from Africa, lets talk African economy and how many people steal from people with nothing and are millionaires and wouldn't give them a rag with spit on it?

If the original victims of the acts are alive and able to claim compensation than yes,
however, second, third, forth generations have no claim to compensation as they have already become citizens and have equal rights to services and resources. Like everyone else they have to better themselves and not give way to entitlement. Thinking about it now, if they want compensation, they should be provided such, and sent back to their country of origin. If said country is the USA, than no compensation more than any other American citizen would receive should be issued.

The answer is no and the reason is this. As horrible as it might sound black people should be grateful they were stolen from their land and put into slavery and before you stop reading hear me out, without slavery blacks would never have been in America to begin with, they never would've gotten their freedom and never become a member of America with equal rights and been able to become president, like for example our own president. Take away the slavery and blacks are still in Africa being bullied by dictators and killed off and raped in their villages like we are seeing today. So which is better for you? 250 years of slavery leading to being able to work, vote, become an equal member of society, or slavery/rape/murder still continuing with no end in sight?
