It"s no doubt that in the world today there are people less fortunate than ourselves. In the United States we"re privileged to live in such a peaceful country. In countries such as Syria, families and people alike have to worry about the threat that is ISIS. We hear about these things in the media of how war-torn and dangerous other countries conditions are, but we truly never have lived or experienced these things. Restricting Legal Immigration even further will complicate the system even further, stopping people looking for a better life from receiving one in hopes to immigrate to the states.

The United States of America is, as previously stated, a (relatively) peaceful country. In comparison to the rest of the world, there is not nearly as much domestic violence as other developed nations, including Russia, Syria, Iran, Iraq, etc. and I would like to keep it that way.
There is no doubting that illegal immigrants from many countries are entering America. As many as an estimated twenty million people are currently residing in our country. Not only are they bringing in violent practices and spreading harmful drugs, they are also wasting our tax resources that they did not deserve. There is a process to enter our country. There always has been. Illegal immigrants decide that they are above it. If they are above the most basic policy, then what other laws will they break?
Security at the border is evidently insufficient. Even simply putting up a nice, long wall will be one step towards making our country a safer place, and certainly more effective entrance policy is in order.

Unfortunately I don't have much to make a rebuttal with, but I will add more points that I did not have time to in my original statement.

We have information that prove ISIS is going to send members of its terrorist group along with Syrian refugees. It would be crazy to continue taking them in, because it would be nearly impossible to tell who is an ISIS supporter that tends to do harm to our country and people. This is exactly what happened with the recent attacks on Paris. France took in many people, and paid the ultimate price. It may seem harsh, but America is not the only option for escape. They can find their own way to another country that is willing to take that chance, but I don't think America should be one of those countries.
