Should Celebrities be Restricted from Endorsing Fast Food Products?
Debate Rounds (2)
We beleive that Celebrities should not endorse fast food products because it not only promotes the consumption of unhealthy foods and bevarges, but it also creates an image in the pubilic's mind that eating unhealthy fast food is acceptable, which it is not. Please give us your opinion on this subject!
The first and foremost issue with the case is that fast food chains are just as entitled to be endorsed as any other legal industry chain on Earth. To suggest differently would be discrimination based on prejudice and food preference. This is an invalid basis for a law to be passed and thus no legal restrictions whatsoever should be placed on who they choose to endorse.
Countless celebrities have died form eating disorders, or at least have survived severe near-death ones.[http://www.edreferral.com...] They have also been seen to indirectly cause anorexia and bulimia in teens.[http://www.edreferral.com...]
I conclude that BoP is not met by Pro.
