In the case of India and South Korea, there are many sexual crimes on the rise and many people argue that "Chemical castration" should be enforced in order to effectively punish them. But, I think it's an inefficient way and I don't agree this argumentation because it can lead to many problems.

First reason is ethical issue. Because it is not voluntary, ethical problems can be caused. When be injected, they can be felt sense of shame because life as man ended. If they feel it, they take the risk of a depression.

Second reason is that it does not control their emotion.
Most sex offenders commit their crimes impulsively. However, Chemical castration can not remove the source of a violent sex offender's rage because it just regulate their hormones. In other words, it is insufficient removing the testosterone because they are able to commit the crime for the purpose of attacking women or children as well as their physical pleasure.

Third reason is that it is not permanent. When discontinuation of administration, it can not be suppressed sexual desire since testosterone's secretion which was suppressed is livelier suddenly. If the effect is gone without warming, victims will be in danger again.

Chemical castration has many side effects as well as these three disadvantages. Although chemical castration has the benefits that it has faster effect, its effect will be transient. Therefore, i don't agree that and i recommend more severe punishment.

Chemical castration is the method that controls sexual impulse by using drug. It causes many controversial issues between pros and cons. Some countries already enforce law of chemical castration.
First of all, recidivism rates can decrease. As same as depression disease this act is caused by hormone. So, when chemical castration which is hormone treatment can control crime. According to international reported cases in Sweden and Denmark, recidivism rates decreased from 40% to 5% after chemical castration. It is more effective than any other penalty. I think current Korea penalty about sex criminal is too generous. So, I think it is one of a certain response.
Second one, it can minimize human rights violations of offender compared to other penalties like physical castration, life sentence. When someone receives misjudgment of offender, life of person who is not related with crime can ruin irreversibly. But chemical castration is non-permanent way. So, after receiving punishment they have self-reflection and make them reclaim on society on controlling themselves. That is, it can give an opportunity to sex criminals.
Last, chemical castration can have prevention effect. Word "castration" can give impact to male. Then, almost sex crimes are caused by male. That is, when a male try to sin something sexual, chemical castration can come to their mind. So, they would control their act. It can bring about crime prevention.
On conclusion, for that reasons chemical castration is useful for decreasing sex crime. Currently, it is good alternative. So, we should adopt chemical castration positively.

I actually didn't even know this punishment existed before reading this debate, and Pro's argument definitely convinced me that chemical castration is an effective punishment.

Fail.
Only 1 round to decide who won the debate.
If I could vote, I would certainly vote Con because out of the two, he gave a more convincing argument.
