I don't believe college athlets should be paid because they'll all just play for the money.

College athletes should be paid. Just because they are athletes does not give you the right not to let them have a job! Without being allowed to have a job, or not being allowed to be paid, they would not be able to attend a college, which is unfair!

Are you concerned for their sports talents or the education.

Both of course. This isn't even an argument. While being paid, they would obviously work harder in both areas. The reason being they are getting paid, and that they don't want to fail college, or they will not be able to stay on the team. Paying them will improve both their sports and education. Since they improve in the sport, and they make a professional team, the college can use them as an advertisement, giving the school and the student more money. It's a win-win.

On pros argument, couldn't we say that not paying great athletes would inspire them to become better to move to professional sports quicker? Also, the main point of college is education not to make money. Since this is the case it should be recognized that the College is there for the athletes not the other way around.

Also, can it not be argued that college athletes are paid but not directly. They get free housing, food (meal plans), and education. Also, I am sure there are other financial perks as well travel, food costs on travelling......... If these expenses were added together it would equal more than 20K a year. Again, they are there to also get an education that helps assist in future success of making more money.
