I believe that deforestation should not be allowed. Think about it, there are alternatives to paper: hemp, recycled paper, cotton paper so many more! Yes, the paper may not look like a high quality one as used in trees. But at least we are not damaging the planet even more. Animals are dying because of the horrific actions we are doing, what has happene to society. This should be on the news! Forget about the celebritie's rumours... MAKE THIS A BIG CRISIS. Slowly, the planet's biggest rainforest will die out and our children will not see what nature's beauty looks like. Not only will the animals die, WE will die. The oxygen will decrease becuase the rainforest produces 20% of the world's oxygen. What of humanity is left? Nobody seems to care about the beautiful rainforest dying but they care about the cellphone's battery dying... Come on! We can do it. Forget about the money, the rainforest is what matters. We won't die without wooden furniture. We won't die without paper. This needs to be heard. It's now or never.

Okay, to be honest, this is just silly. Stopping all deforestation is not a solution. The issue is how we get the wood. Many companies are developing forest just for paper or for another use. This is great but it is costly, is not used much, and they use fast growing trees that are not as good. Simply government subsidies or tax breaks can push for higher quality wood farms to keep the supply up without hurting the environment. I understand that deforestation is a problem but just stopping is not an option. Think about it.

The burden of proof lies with the con side here. I do not need to add anything right now. I would just like to point out the plan of the con speaker is just silly without merit. There are better solutions. I will end here to keep it fair.

The con side has proposed a debate and yet to really argue it. I am wondering what was the point of even going to this website if you are not willing to fight for your belief. The con side has not debated. I will ask people to just not vote.
