Today, there are a lot of green house gas emissions being released around the world. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, 26% of our green house gas emissions come from transportation, as of 2014. If we were to have a limit of cars that each family can own, that would seriously reduce green house gas emissions. The limit should be two cars per family. Green house gas can cause the average temperature to go up. Since 1900, Earth's temperature has gone up by 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit, according to http://www.livescience.com.... Temperatures are projected to go up 2 to 11.5 degrees in the next hundred years. Having increased temperatures around the world can cause more severe weather, and the severe weather we have can get worse. Hurricanes that are Category 5, according to the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale, have winds of 157 mph or more. That go up to 200 mph or maybe 225 mph with increasing temperatures.
I am O.K. with families having more than 2 cars because it will infringe upon our freedom. This is a free country and we should be allowed to have what we want. Also climate change happens, it has always happened. We are still coming out of an ice age so it is going to warm up. Also, we have bad storms all the time, it just happens, but the really bad ones usually happen during el Nino. We are also developing vehicles that are more efficient and put out less greenhouse gasses than they used to. There are even cars that can run on water.(http://www.collective-evolution.com...) Soon most people will have those types of cars and we won't have to worry about it. But for the time being let's let the people of America enjoy their freedom.
My opponent forfeited so I win but it is against our rights and freedoms to limit people to only two cars. Also, cars are being developed that do not have many emissions. Also, they have cars that can run on water.
