Con

I think that because God says that man and man shouldn't be allowed to marry, that we should listen to Him and not legalize it.
PrincessNene

Pro

For One there is no where in the bible saying that GOD doesn't like the idea of same sex couples or marriages, its just that some people see it as a horrible thing to see but then again others see it as the most beautiful thing in the world as of now a few of our states do allow the same sex marriage law and I think that is great because everyone one in the world has the right to find love even if its love in the same gender I see nothing wrong with that at all how would you feel if some one said that it is a sin to be with the opposite sex you wouldn't feel happy about that so how do you think the homosexuals feel about people saying that it is a sin to love the same sex/gender as their self.

Wait, people are actually voting for me?

This was meant to be a terrible, terrible joke of a debate. How am I only one point behind Pro?!

I'm curious as to what Pro thinks of me as a person: I claimed to only be against gay marriage because of "God's word", yet in the other debate she replied to, my stance is pro-abortion.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro/Con disagree on God's view but Pro also advanced that the idea of reciprocity (the golden rule). Thus, she has the strongest standing argument. I do have to deduct a point for spelling and grammar.

Reasons for voting decision: nothing really to go by but by spelling and conduct goes to con because pro talked on the side of God while Con was using the word of god

Reasons for voting decision: Does this even count as a debate? Regardless, I must side with the Pro. The con gives no reason other than (Incorrectly) stating that god mandated there should be no same sex marriage. The bible said that, and if you expect me to take a book that was written in 3 languages by approximately 40 men of diverse backgrounds over the course of 1500 years as a credible citation, then you need to reconsider your sources.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro is incorrect; the Bible is clearly against homosexual couples, at the very least, in the romantic use of the word. Two entire cities were obliterated in the Bible just because of the gay sex.
