Pro

Gay Marriage should be ok in all 50 states. I know this cause i have a Gay family member.
Wylted

Con

I'll use this round to accept and think that legal should be defined as follows.

1 :of or relating to law
2 a :deriving authority from or founded on law :de jure
b :having a formal status derived from law often without a basis in actual fact :titular
c :established by law; especially :statutory

Also my opponent has right off the back made an appeal to authority which is a logical fallacy (referring to the reference to her gay relative).

I would like voters to be aware that my opponent is arguing against the status quo and has the full BOP. If I negate her arguments it should be enough for a win.

My opponent has one more round to meet her BOP if she doesn't I should win by default.

It's against the status quo because he's advocating for 100% of the states. The status quo is at 70%

since when does against the status quo mean against the 70% of states were it is legal?

My argument is the same regardless of what country, and I'm not sure what other country besides the USA refers to their provinces as states

I think all ~200 countries should legalise gay marriage and it doesn't say which country the states are in. I know what you mean but there are loads more countries out there.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct - Con. Pro forfeited multiple rounds which is rarely acceptable behavior in any debate setting. S&G - Con. In the one round Pro did type, she had improper capitalization. Con, on balance, did not have the same amount of errors. Arguments - Con. Pro failed to present any real arguments to affirm her side, thus Con wins arguments due to Pro's failure of maintaining the BOP. Sources - Con. Pro did not utilize sources in this debate whereas Con did. This is a clear 7-point win for Con.
