I merely saw another one of these, and I laughed at the Con's statements. So I decided to offer my stance on this and offer any information I had regarding the issue. Gays have been discriminated, bullied, and even killed. Either for religious reasons, social issues, or just conforming to what an average couple is supposed to be. I will let my opponent have the first word and have him state his case in the first round.

Con

Marriage is not any relationship between humans. Gay marriage violates the natural law. Marriage between a woman and man is a relationship rooted in human nature and thus governed by natural law.

P.S: First Debate! Thanks!

If I may ask, what is the natural law when it comes to human relations and marriage. And who defined the natural law?

Marriage between woman and man rooted in human nature from the fact only opposites could reproduce and create more. Your gonna have to give me more than a couple of sentences. And like I said, you will have the first case to state, then I will offer my rebuttals.

yes homosexuals must be accepted in the society as they are self defined and
consensual . they are according
to nature. there is no harm in
loving a person of a same
gender. making it illegal would be like taking
away the legal rights of personal liberty and
freedom of such people.

if two person have a will, and that
too a an honest will for god, then who are we
to decide that it should be accepted or not.

these relationships will help the country to
reduce the population by adopting a child
rather than producing one.
its a human emotion. nobody can stop that.
thats nature. and if being a gay or a lesbian
is not accepted as a nature
then the pregnancy control pills etc. should
also be not accepted as it is not according to nature.
7-13% of the country's population consists of
such people.not accepting them would even
lead to loss in votes.
according to me they must be welcomed as a
society and should be allowed to exercise
their relationship.

punk ol d vry best for ur debate...i m wid u ;)

Actually, homosexuality does not violate nature. In fact, over 140 species practice homosexuality.

I totally agree with you here. Interesting debate though. It's just sad that your contender didn't post his argument yet

Just because a man and woman can reproduce, it doesn't make it a "law" for men and women to be the only way couples can be happy no?

Reasons for voting decision: Although both debaters conceded the final rounds of the debate, Con was the first to concede. Points to Pro for conduct. Other than that, I have no other basis for which to vote. I would advise both participants to avoid unwarranted concession in future debates: it always looks sloppy and completely voids any credibility. I have learned this the hard way.
