I believe that George Zimmerman should go to jail for life because of what he did to Treyvon Martin. It is sad that in society today a white man (or any other race) can shoot an African american and say "oh it was just self defense." And get away with it. We need a change and with George Zimmerman out on the streets it will not come!

prosecution must show that zimmerman acted, beyond a reasonable doubt, wrongly.

in this case, zimmerman was shown to have a bloodied up nose and head. concrete was shown to have been used by martin, it wasn't as if he was truly unarmed. martin on the other hand showed none of these things.
the screams are too uncertain to tell who is who, and whatever the case, we can't prove who initiated deadly force, other than to note that zimmerman is the one who showed serious injury on his body.
also, there are credible witnessess who say martin was on top of zimmerman. martin only has his friend to say otherwise.

given zimmerman can't be show to have murdered martin beyond a reasonable doubt, the prosecution's case fails. sure, there are valid doubts about zimmerman, but nothing beyond a reaonable doubt, the standard used against the prosecution.

If someone was trying to hurt you, and you saw the gun in their hand or the holster you would be trying to fight back. Based on the race issues in society, George Zimmerman was told by officers to "stand down, get in your car and help is on the way, do not approach." But no, he went up to Treyvon and did exactly what he's not supposed to do, and he shot Treyvon. Now if a thirty something year old man got his head slammed a few times by a teenager and he ended up shooting him, that is horrible. We need to take justice. GEORGE ZIMMERMAN IS GUILTY!!!!

maybe he shouldnt have approached martin, but we have no reason to think he attacked martin, or who attacked who. this means we have reasonable doubt as to the initiation. next we see that it is zimmerman and not martin who has the serious marks on his body, it may not have been deadly or even deadly hits, but it was pretty close. if zimmerman did nothing back, he may have died. so the marks give reasonable doubt as to whether there was something wrong more for zimemrman than for martin, such that deadly force could be justified.

this shouldnt be too much cause of concern for our laws, cause if you are going to participate in a death fight, you have to be prepared to die. and it's not even clear that zimmerman wantingly engaged in a death fight, just that we was in it.

reiterate
i'd also point out, that it appears pro's conclusions are mostly based on an emotional response, rather than an argued point about the facts. i could go on to explain why, but i will let voter's decide, and elaborate more only if pro actually responds.

Either pro has changed their mind and are hiding in shame, or they're all bark and no bite (lacking follow through).

George Zimmerman is white mixed with Peruvian. So I feel like the first argument is adding a racial bias towards the issue at hand .

It should be noted that they located injuries on Trayvon Martin's knuckles.

The Prosecution must prove the Zimmerman is in fact racist, to back her accusation that implies Zimmerman acted out of racism. There are two other questions she must answer.

1- Does Zimmerman's neighbors and co-workers have reason to believe he was guilty? (look up Zimmerman's black friend, Joe Oliver.)

Now

2- Does Martin show physical signs of assault PRIOR to the gunshot. (keep in mind the wounds on his knuckles.)

3- Does Zimmerman show physical signs of assault PRIOR to the gunshot.

Reasons for voting decision: Another one of these... Argued by pathos appeals, instead of reason; and then FFed. However as con also missed a round, conduct violations fall on the same areas enough to leave that tied.
