Guns cause too many problems, and need to be banned. 50/61 mass killers have obtained guns legally between 1982-2013. This means that anyone can easily grab a gun and start killing if they wanted to. It is just that easy! With every 100,000 people, 3.2% get murdered every year! If you look at Canada and Australia, which both countries have a gun ban, they have 0.1% of every 100,000 people get murdered. There is only one solution, which is to ban guns.

The weapon does not kill for its function solely relies upon the user. Perhaps the initial creator had in-visioned it to be used that way, but that doesn't matter now. Let I say someone wants to take your life, first choice might be the gun. Gun ban, a few things might happen now. This person might get it illegally, he will just use another weapon, he might even make his own gun. Now his intention is clear and he is serious about it no matter the weapon choice. The reach of this story ends with you, this person is standing before you and is holding a weapon and here you are defenceless. I agree that weapons of sort are not to be used for these kinds of things, but the introduction of it has brought out the idea and an idea of this magnitude won't be killed easily. The problem does not lie in the weapon, but in the individual. Now I will get into the reason of why. Why the question that leads to even your motive of starting this debate. Just think about the sudden interest in discussing this topic. A few years back this wasn't even an issue even though the gun has been a part of our culture for quite some time. It all comes down to a rabbit chase where the gun ban will turn into a knife ban and someone might make new weapon, use older weapons and we will have to ban does as well. At this point you will get the idea that banning the guns is pointless. The real reason for this law lies beyond what they are telling you, but that is something I will leave out of this debate.

Russia has had a complete ban on guns for decades, and has a secret police to round them up. Their homicide rate twice that of the US.

Switzerland has an Army reserve that puts fully automatic rifles and ammo in 40% of the households. Their homicide rate is 10% that of the US.

In the US, rifles of any kind are rarely used in crimes. Last year, twice as many people were murdered with hammers as with rifles in the U.S.

If we did not have our weapons, and our "Right to Bare Arms". Our crime rate would go up so very much. But before you can legally own a gun is to, get mentaly tested, and learn the safty uses of a gun.

Ugh I hate the, guns don't kill people, people kill people argument. It is MUCH harder to kill someone with a knife or with poison than with a gun. It is VERY easy to kill someone with a gun, and if the assailant tried to use a knife, there's a high chance the victim wouldn't nave died.

its not the guns causing problem it's the people and if the really wanted to they could find a gun one way or another.
