Pro

The juvenile should take responsibility for their actions.

I would like to thank my opponent for debating this important topic. I will make no arguments in this round, as that would give me an extra round. I do ask my opponent to elaborate on the resolution, so that I may have a better understanding of his view. I hope this debate will be insightful, and enjoyable for us both, and the readers as well. The burden of proof rests on Pro in this debate, and my objective is to give reason why juveniles should not be treated as adults in a court of law. Since we are both from the U.S., I assume that we are arguing American law. Thanks again, and good luck.

Since my opponent instigated, then forfeit this debate, I suppose he has seen the error in his resolution. Moreover, his opening round did not argue for the resolution. Minors can be held responsible for their actions via the juvenile justice system. Also, if these juveniles do not enjoy all the rights afforded to adults, they certainly cannot be held accountable as an adult. Vote Con.
