Renewable energy should come now because we can save oil for emergencies??????

Mass renewable energy should come later for a few reasons really. One of these being the fact that the United States' debt is so high, we need a strong country power order for it to begin, and we need a stable economy to make such a Jurassic decision.

First, the U.S. debt is too high to consider. Years of being at war have taken their toll on the United States money. The debt is so high as of now that the U.S. does not have the money to do this. The debt of this country as of today, October 24, 2013, at 9:22 PM was 17,066,893,202, 364 dollars. Clearly we can not afford to launch such a large and expensive project.

The world needs a strong country to make the first step towards this renewable energy. The U.S. may be a powerful country, but the U.S. has not so far made any attempts at increasing the amount of growth of this sort of energy. The funding that the U.S. provides is nowhere near enough to cover the cost for a project like this. China has in fact put two billion dollars into funding for this energy, but I do not think that China would be willing to lead the world into a new age of renewable energy.

Last we need a stable country to make this action. As everyone can recall, the government shut down recently. With how recent this occurred, do you honestly think that the U.S. can handle the attention, and work needed to run this who;e operation? Unfortunately, I do not think so. This is why i think that the U.S. should wait to make action towards nuclear energy.
