Hello,

So the past months Mojang which is a the Minecraft compony(MojangAB) has been sending out Emails to some owners that run milliondollar servers. This is one of the worst decisions Minecraft has made in history, the reason being is will the servers actually be able to fund their servers?

Answer: No.

Mojang wants to get rid pay2win; However, they're still allowing servers to sell Cosmetics which do NOT effect game play. This has been tried and failed by MCPVP that used to be one of the largest servers in the world, became EULA compliant, and shrank down to a minuscule size because they could no longer afford to pay their bills. which is basically the Minecraft license of servers. It was already stated that this shouldn't be allowed but now they're enforcing it and if servers don't follow this, they will be shut down. (Blacklisted).

Us Servers need to pay an incredible amount of money for major expenses such as hiring: Artist, Advertisers, Hosting, Developers, Staff, Community Managers, Custom plugins, System Administrators, Large youtubers(Which btw is the reason Minecraft is so popular, us servers got this game out there) and a lot more. Us servers spend $10,000 dollars a MONTH some go up to $25,000 a month. Mojang wants to stop this, due to the pay2win aspect this is actually ridiculous after all we have done for them. Us servers have hired very large YouTubers (even PewDiePie did a video)...

If you want your server to be here just comment below, the main goel of this debate is that, Do you really think this is fair? At the end of the day, if you play Minecraft, your favourite Minecraft server won't be there anymore.

They should certainly shutdown some of them, but not all. Servers such as Mineplex and Hypixel should stay. However, I think they should shutdown the p2w ones that require an admin to activate the purchased rank, many servers like that also use that to scam people. Many expensive servers track important details, which is unsafe, I think they should only keep ones that don't require the purchased rank to be activated by an admin.

TL;DR Version: Shutdown most, but not all.

I am a massive Minecraft fan. I think they should only shutdown ones that track important details and need an admin to activate purchased items.
