My first argument is that Minecraft Steve is from a video game. There is basically no reason that Steve, can be a very good Smasher. Who knows, maybe they can add powerups from Minecraft, like potions. Steve's down-special should be Dig, I mean it can go any direction from smashes to specials. Even though it's unlikely, It might be awesome to have Steve take the first of the 2 spots left for a Smash character.

I will be accepting this debate. Good luck ObamaLover.

First off I would like to say the burden of proof is held by the pro.

Let's look at the game Super Smash Brothers. In the game they take characters from Nintendo games. Minecraft is not owned by Nintendo, Minecraft is owned by Microsoft ( http://www.polygon.com... ). So this means that Nintendo would have to go specifically out of their way to make Steve a character in the game. This would likely include playing large amounts of money that simply will not make it worth it for Nintendo.

This means a slice of Nintendo's budget for SSB would have to be used to buy rights to use Steve as a character, consequently this will result with the game having an overall lower quality. Therefore instead of wasting money on a fairly small part of the game that money should be used to make an overall better game.

You're logic that Steve should be part of SSB because "Minecraft Steve is from a video game." just simply doesn't cut it because all of the extra work and money that would have to go into adding Steve into the game.

I rest my case. Good luck.

Reasons for voting decision: Conduct was the same, no rude talk. Spelling and grammar were also very good. However, Greg4586 made much more convincing arguments. He talked about money and how all the characters are from Nintendo games. Since Con was the only one to use sources, he gets the sources vote. Props to Con for good points.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro forfeited the rest of the rounds except the first. That means he doesn't get a chance to rebut con arguments. Con at least showed a source and the money part is a important issue.
