In the current period teachers are choosing books for students to read. For example the students may have to read The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain or The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien. Books are a subject that everybody opinions vary. Someone may like Fantasy/ Adventure but dislike Realistic fiction, or visa verse. Students will enjoy reading more if they can choose their own books.

Hello. I am glad to be debating with you.

My opinion is that the education system will only succeed if our all of our students are being educated the same material. This means reading the same books, picked by the teachers and the school boards. I believe that our students should all reading the same grade-level book, so that our all of our students can gain an amount of knoweldge from the same book. And providing the same book for all of our students and classes will mean some potentially great class discussions, where students can put forth their opinions on what is going on in the plot of the book.

It should not be the job of the teacher to check if all of her students' books are grade-level approriate and mature.

If we provide all of our students' the same book, we can benefit from some great class discussions. And, I believe that the US has seen the error of its way and realizes that all of our students should learn the same thing; otherwise, nation-wide standards and Common Core would not have been introduced.

Our students should be reading and learning the same material. Good luck, and may the better debater win.
