Con

Abortion is completely monstrous and immoral. Just because the woman's body is hers, doesn't mean the beating heart in her whom is. No matter if it's her body or not, it should still be considered murder. So many girls murder their innocent, defenseless, barely developed fetus, no way to fend or fight.

It's weird that we have so few infant deaths in recent years, no matter what the case.

In 1850 in the USA: 20% of all babies would die.

What does there being few infants deaths have to do with the fact that your seriously messed up mind somehow thinks that killing babies should be legal. A single cell on mars is considered life, but an unborn baby is not?? It's barbaric and there is no way that you can change my mind, or thousands of others on earth for that matter, about that.

Your argument is relatively recent.

There is a numeric value to human life. It is measured in dollars. If you make $8/hr, $16k/yr, for 30 years, your net income is about half a million. Median is two million, and the upper crust make billions.

This is why the CEO and the Vice President of large corporations always travel in separate airplanes. If one were to die that would be horrible, if both, complete catastrophe.

In 1850, a male slave was worth $100 if he was 30 years old, $10 if he was 5 years old, and fetuses had no value whatsoever.

Sir if you cannot spell WOMB your argument is totally invaluable.
I a a women who personally would never have an abortion, but it is not my right to govern what someone else does in theirs.. I am old school thinker. Don't like alcohol? Don't drink, Don't like gambling don't do it, don't like gay marriage don't have one, Don't like abortion, don't have one plain and simple.
First do you have a WOMB??
Do you understand that by making abortion illegal wont stop the practice of aborting a fetus, just make unsafe abortions.
Do you realize that making abortion illegal, a women who has a tubal pregnancy, which she can die from, will not be allowed to abort and she too will die?
Do you realize that banning abortion has ramifications on fertility issues ie in vitro fertilization?
Do you realize that a girl that is a victim of incest, or any sexual abuse and becomes pregnant from these violent acts will have to carry a fetus to term?

@dragonb95

The core of the argument is the value of human life. The value of the fetus is very relevant.

Reasons for voting decision: Con doesn't understand the difference between death and murder being malice; should stepping on an ant be considered murder? Pro makes a random reference to infant deaths. Con then quantifies life in terms of cell and becomes stubborn as if the size of an organism determines its validity. Pro then makes an appeal to utilitarianism. The debate was just one tangent after the next. Pro had sources, but they pertained to irrelevant arguments.

Reasons for voting decision: Weak debate. Con only said his same argument for both rounds, and pro brought up two random statistics.
