Animals should be held captive in zoos because as long as they are being held in a good and safe environment then zoos give a good designated place where people can see cool and rare animals.

I think that as long as they are in a zoo, they are not in their own world. They are being taught how to survive, with the help of humans. As these animals in the zoos reproduce, they are having babies that don't know how to survive in the wild. These animals are not treated like they should be. For example, snakes are supposed to slither all day, but in a zoo, they are cramped in a cage for their entire life!

That is true but they are being kept in the zoo where they are being taken care of! They have their needs met and.
People also now have a place where they can see super cool animals.
It is a win win.

For entertainment? No. In my opinion I'm against zoos. It prohibits a true life in the wild. Plus all animals that are normally found to energetic look more sad and alone then anything. I've never seen a truly energetic animal at a zoo. Evolution and nature was never made to kidnap animals and keep them forever. But for research that s different. Keeping a snake to milk it's venom for an anti-venom, that's good, studying behavior, good, those things help us learn about nature and how it works. But just to look is mean.
