Hi, I accepted.

One: Just because they can or cannot wear whatever they want doesn't mean they should be allowed to. At least, not in school. Saying that since boys can "wear what they want" they could wear skirts would also mean they could wear clothing related to drugs and gangs (y'know, because they can).

Two: He may not care, but that kind of clothing on a boy is unusual and can bring him unnecessary attention - attention that should be out into class.

And I guess what you're saying with the last bit is that they can use religion as an excuse to where the skirt/kilt. Would be dishonest but I guess that's okay.

Three: Not everyone has the same rights, but I can't think of how that would forbid boys from wearing skirts besides "it's against the dress code," "School grounds."

religion:
I think one of the main reasons for the big fuss about boys not being able to wear skirts is because of religion. I see that traditionally guys wear pants or long shorts, and that seeing a boy wearing a skirt might be "unnatural". But when talking about "what's natural," in the beginning, the first humans did not wear prescription glasses to see, use wheelchairs to get around, or attach prosthetic limbs to enhance mobility. Are all of those aspects of humanity "unnatural"? Religion shouldn"t even be half a consideration when making rules. This is a big topic in The United States of all places, and there isn"t an official religion or even for that matter an official tongue spoken.

They can wear what they want:
"Homosexuality is found in 450 species, Homophobia is found in only one""Which one seems unnatural?".This really is just the little root for a bigger topic. I"m honestly not saying that you have to be for it, but i am saying that if they want to wear what they feel comfortable in, just please get off the lane cause" you're blocking the road.Being mad at someone for wearing a skirt to school sounds just as ridiculous as you being mad at a person for eating a doughnut when you're on a diet. Your own preferences shouldn"t affect someone else"s life so much

I see. Dunno.

Yeah, what you say about "natural" is true. Would the disassociation of religion make a significant difference? It's as much traditional values at work as it is religious influence.

Also, it's not that they can't wear skirts. They just shouldn't be allowed at school. Depending on what school you go to, both boys and girls have a decent amount of choice to what they can wear to school. They can't just wear anything, the same way that you can't just wear anything to a job interview or a meeting.

A lot of misinformed people here: A Kilt Is a Skirt by definition. (any dictionary) so call it what it is... a skirt! "Kilts" are a particular type of skirt usually tartan, hot, heavy and costly yet any skirt will fit a male equally as well as a female when you have the right size. Skirts are not gender specific... only two pieces of clothing are: The bra and jockstrap (They make no sense for the other gender to wear) all else is considered unisex by clothing designers!

Soooo bottom line is yes boys should be allowed to wear what they want. Skirts ARE becoming popular for running, hiking and sitting for men so they will be vogue again soon and school kids will pick up on that.
Men have worn skirts far longer throughout time than women have and clothing designers say there are no reasons why men shouldn't wear skirts and lastly doesn't it make more sense for a male to wear a skirt than a female based on anatomy alone? No crotch binding inseams, cooler than shorts and if short the freedom of movement is incredible.

Why would anyone have a problem with these guys in skirts: http://www.picturetrail.com... Obviously they are NOT "cross dressing" trying to look like women.

Of course they should be, but they should be held to the same standards females are in regards to length and skimpyness.
