Kids are being bullied. Should defense be an option? Now this "self-defense" is not drastic(i.e break his leg) but more subtle ways

Con

All across america, kids are being bullied. Now even though they are defenseless, they should never fight back. The bully would be able to press charges. Now, the smart thing to do would be to tell an adult

Thank you

True. But its not like being ethical, but, is it a just cause. Now to tell a teacher is...not really an option. Think. Does bullies still bully? Yes. Can a teacher STOP it. Most likely not. These kids don't throw you in lockers. They Harass you. These kids also don't care about they're education. There comes a point where you say "that's it, if these teachers can't protect my rights, I do it."

Well, teachers can threaten a bully. If they have abusive parents, they might not want to get into trouble. Also, the bullies could also get some counseling if they got reported to a teacher

...You think bullies would stop at a 'warning'.
Right. So they get in MORE trouble
What would that do? I never heard about counseling bullies. It just doesn't work, hey there's NO reasonable reason why one would bully.
19146md

Con

A reasonable reason why one would bully is because they feel insecure about their life. Maybe, if they were forced to counsel, they will agree that their actions are wrong.

My opponent has o proof for these statements:

1) cOUNSELING BULLIES DOESN'T WORK
2) There is no reasonable reason why one would bully

But theres no cases i heard that 'talking to a bully would help. Kids feel like they can do whatever. Think. Why does bulling still persist? That and even if your life 'drags' doesnt mean you can bully. NEVER.

Okay con. The argument as to be "in MOST CASES" dont give an " and we became friends afterwards" thtas not very common.

Pro, I have a feeling that Con will choose to provide an unique example (something that will probably never happen) and then he'll win. You should update this ; insert the words "generally" and "in most cases" somewhere.
