Cell phone should not be allowed in school as they provide a distraction against learning and education. If a cell phone were to go off during class, it distracts not only the student who owns the phone but the rest of the class who are trying to learn. Then the student begins to chat on whoever called. More distractions not only to student but also the entire class occur. Also, if cell phones were allowed during school, they would allow students to just play around and not listen to the lesson being taught. The students would just mess around on their phones, playing games, texting their friends in the other classes, watching videos, and so on. This will prevent any learning to happen and mostly likely drop a student's GPA over a period of time.

students asking constant questions to the teacher also causes a distraction to the class. if students were allowed to use their phones they would just look up the answer to their question and continue on in class, not causing a distraction to the class or the teacher. also, if students were allowed to use their phones they would be able to look up the correct answer to their questions eventually rasing their grades, and while they are looking up the right anser the students will have to read through material about their question learning even more about the subject. phones today are like mini computers if you take away students phones it is like taking away computers. also if students were allowed to use their phones, schools would not have to constantly have to make repairs on computers spwnding more and more money on things kids just abuse, because the students cell phone is their computer and students are more likley to take care of what is theirs.

It is a teacher's job to respond to student's questions. That's why they teach in the first place. The students are suppose to ask questions so they can learn and get the right answer, not look it up on the internet and hope that they got the right answer. Internet today holds a lot of data, some of which is not true. Also many teachers want their students to throughly think out the problems to achieve the answer. If a student continously looks up the answer to achieve the grades on their homework, then the student will not actually learn anything.

Also, since cell phones are personal belongings to the students, it's not 100% guarrenteed that the student will actually have a cell phone capable of accessing the internet due to either the type of phone or regulations made by the parents. Not all phones are mini computers either. Some phones are still the common, either text-or-talk type of phone.
