Should children be physically disciplined? As in, should they be spanked, slapped, etc. to establish what is okay for them to do and what is not? I will be against it, and you will provide explanations of how this can help the child as well as the parent.

Hell no, Positive reinforcement, and removing toys and privileges for bad behaviour is more then enough.
