Because chocolate milk is yummy and healthy because it has 9 essential ingriedients, Chocolate milk should not be banned from school! Plus, kids love it, and so they will eat a lot of milk can get more calcium!!!

Hi, this is my first debate, so sorry if I mess up.

When you drink milk, you're not just drinking water. What you're doing is drinking water - mixed with the hormones of a different species of animal, which could quite possibly be detrimental to your health.

Contrary to popular belief, Milk does not add calcium to your bones= it actually depletes it. Milk is slightly acidic, with an average pH of 6.7, making it a weak acid. How does your body combat this acid? Simple: Neutralize the acid with calcium.

The amount of calcium in milk is actually less than the amount your body uses to neutralize its acidity. Therefore, it actually weakens your bones instead of strengthening them.

Sure, your strength could be increased - if you were a calf. Milk is actually produced by cows for calves, not humans, and since the nutrients needed by calves aren't completely the same as those needed by humans, the effects may actually be detrimental to your health.

The chocolate doesn't help either, as most of the chocolate used is mainly milk chocolate, which contains little to no actual chocolate at all.

If you didn't know, many schools actually serve expired milk to their students, due to budget problems.

Therefore, the health benefits are almost nonexistent, and might actually weaken your body.

Reasons for voting decision: Pro's counter-arguments would have been crushing if they were referenced (as would have been Con's), but I think Pro's counter-arguments were still enough to negate enough of Con's points, as well as affirm the resolution, especially since they were not responded to. Therefore, Pro wins arguments.

Reasons for voting decision: Another 1 round debate. Pro refuted Cons arguments and his own arguments went un-contested. Thus, Pro wins arguments.
