I think classrooms should have air-conditioners because if the teachers' staffroom has air-conditioners, why can't a typical classroom have. Let's imagine we put teachers in the hot stuffy classroom for seven to eight hours, wouldn't they feel hot and stuffy. Maybe the principal should put the teachers in to the students shoes. End the old tradition and let air-conditioners be the priority. Plus, conducive environment for students can actually make the students focus and less chances of falling asleep in class, their grades will pull up and they can have good opportunities in later life. In the points that I have mentioned, just a simple task of installing air-conditioners in classrooms can lead to many positive effects, it is like a domino.
El Nino effect is rising, so air conditioning actually saves lives. Plus, especially in Asia, hazy conditions are on the rise, air-conditioner then now serve both cooling and air purifying properties simultaneously. Hence we can have comfort in the safety of the classrooms, especially students with asthma.
